Gentle Teaching

Every human being longs
to feel safe with others
to feel unconditionally loved by others
to feel loving towards others
to feel engaged with others
these feelings are the pillars of companionship
All over the world there are people who don’t experience this feeling of companionship  in their daily life, due to their personal vulnerabilities or the life experiences and living conditions.
Gentle Teaching is a strategy based on a Psychology of Interdependence that sees all change as being mutual and bringing about a feeling of companionship and community, symbols of justice and non-violence

We have three good reasons to focus on developing companionship
Ÿ
It’s a human right to feel safe and loved. When we meet people who as a result of their personal vulnerabilities and their life experience don’t feel sale and loved in the presence of other, it’s our duty to work on companionship
Ÿ
When a person with special vulnerabilities feels stressed, he needs our presence most, but if he doesn’t feel safe and loved with us, he will be afraid when we come near to him to help him.
Ÿ
We know that most of the aggression comes out of fear and feeling of insecurely. Trying to control these behaviors will only increase the fear.

Only if we can establish the feeling of companionship, we can really help the other person when he needs us most.
